A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices.

A very happy Monday to you m'dears! Well, it's currently 64 days until Christmas, (anyone else like me and already excited?) I was reminded yesterday, as the "feeling" came back to me. You know what I mean? That feeling we so know and love, the feeling when Christmas suddenly feels near again; decorations start to appear in the stores, Christmas gift ideas begin to flow through our minds, we start planning little Christmas soirees, and the most important thing of all... we think about celebrating our wonderful Jesus'. It's exciting, it's wonderful, and even though it's still three months away, it brings us a wonderful sense of hope that good things are coming. :)
So what is it, that makes the Christmas season feel so exciting?
Snow?
Pretty lights?
A sleigh full of presents?
Stockings?
Pretty decorations?
A gorgeous Hamptons pool house?
A beautiful table setting?
Or maybe pretty fairy wings?
Well, while all these things are beautiful, there is something about Christmas that is far more spectacular, creating excitement, life and light...
Out of all the Christmas songs, this is my favourite lyric: "A thrill of hope, a weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn". What a wonderful truth! I truly believe as we enter this new season that we are going to be filled with a HOPE like never before. And it's not just an "excitement for Christmas", but a long-lasting, deep sense of hope that fills and floods every area of our lives, catapulting us into this next season.
And it begins today. So let us step into this new season of great joy with boldness and excitement!  Have a great day friends :)

Interior Love :: The Great Gatsby Suite ~ The Plaza Hotel, New York

If this image doesn't take your breath away, let me introduce to you a friend of mine and hopefully by the end of this blog you will be in love. Meet The Plaza Hotel. With refined sophistication, she stands in the heart of New York City, right beside Grand Army Plaza on the corner of 59th Street and Fifth Avenue. Soaring majestically 20-storeys into the sky, she peers elegantly over Central Park with effortless beauty and grace.
Below is The Plaza's Fitzgerald Suite. This suite was recently designed in celebration of Baz Luhrmann's stunning adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Let's a take a tour shall we?
Stunning isn't it! This dramatic colour palette just oozes 1920's elegance.
Charming portraits of Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald grace the walls..
As dazzling chandeliers and fresh flowers warm and soften the space.
Love the hardwood floors against crisp white doors and skirting boards..
Pretty posies, black and white frames and textured rugs.
Love those luxurious wallpapered panels.. and that chandelier!
So what do you think?
Who would like to stay?
Whether it's the Fitzgerald Suite, or one of their other spectacular suites..
This hotel is a DEFINITE on my travel list. :)
Ah.. just imagine walking through these doors..
How about you? Is The Plaza somewhere you would love to stay one day? How amazing would it be! What a crazy thought but I'm putting it out there and believing I will stay here in the not too distant future! And if you'd like to stay there just believe it! Cos remember... ANYTHING can happen.

Have a fab Tuesday!

Interior Love :: Southampton Beach House.

Happy Thursday my lovely friends! How has your week been so far? I went to the South Melbourne Market on Saturday and stocked up on SO much fresh fruit and vegetables.. so much so that six days later, my fridge is still overflowing. Seriously, how good is a full fridge?! This week I baked this scrumptious Roast Chicken with Pear, Pistachio & Cranberry Stuffing. Soooo YUM! You should totally try it. Anyway.. to today's post.. I thought we'd all head to stunning Southampton, NY. What do you think?!

Here's the house..

Every kitchen needs TWO chandeliers. Right?

Oh those bookshelves..
And you'll all love the fire pit in the backyard.. (I'll bring the marshmallows)
And this little reading nook..

Here's the sunroom.. very relaxing..
And hello. What a bathroom! French doors + an outdoor shower. Fabulous.

Room with a view..
And pretty framed entranceways welcome you..
And then.. you'll end up here. How gorgeous!
So happy Thursday friends.. I pray your day is wonderful and full of joy!

5 Minute Vacation :: Santorini

Hi guys, happy Monday! How was your weekend? I hope you had a great one. :) I thought I would start the week with a lovely vacation for us! Destination: Santorini! Even though these are just a few pictures, I pray the beauty they carry would bring you a wonderful sense of peace today. :) Enjoy! xx
You'll have breakfast out here overlooking the water..

Then head down these steps..
And step aboard this boat, where you'll cruise the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea..
Afterward you'll have time for a spot of afternoon reading..
Before heading to Oia to watch the 'world-famous' sunset..
"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out in to all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world."

I have actually been here and witnessed this with my very eyes.. it's breathtaking!
And finally, a beautiful evening stroll back to yours and a cup of tea on the balcony.

Have a wonderful, peaceful day full of rest and ease!
