Six little encouragements for you.

Okayyyyy call me crazzzy, but the fact that we are only four months away from summer is just a tad exciting for me! << insert crazy tongue poking out emoticon here >> Alright alright, I know I am jumping the gun a bit here, but think about it... June 21 was four days ago... That's the shortest day of the year... So guess what that means? Yep that's right. The days get longer and warmer from here on in. Hello. Woo hoo! 

And just like summer is coming, so are our promises. Yep. Your promises and mine. God promises that "we are the receivers of great and precious promises", so just as we get excited and know summer is coming, we can rest assured that our great God has everything perfectly planned. He's working behind the scenes in our situation right now. Just look at the sun in the sky. Every time it sets it's a confirmation of his goodness. 

So here are six little things to encourage you in whatever season you are in:

1. Write five things you are thankful for today.

Thankfulness shifts atmospheres and gives us new eyes to see.

2. Joyfully look forward to the season ahead.

Expectation releases the miraculous.

3. Don't be distracted or discouraged in the wait. 

Focus is the key. And God is always really great at helping us with this.

4. Sow seeds for the next season. 

Whether it's finance, time, acts of service, or love... your seed releases your breakthrough.

5. Expect surprises everyday.

Let's learn from kids. They are always expecting fun and wonder. 

6. Don't wait for summer to come to dance... dance in the rain!!

That's right! It's time to seize the moment. Carpe diem!

So have a beautiful day my friends. Be encouraged, wherever you go you have the ability to release love and joy, so let's be extravagant with our giving.

Hi friends, happy Tuesday! Okay, grab your passports and pack your bags because today we are off to Cancun, Mexico... Who's in?! We'll be staying at The Ritz Carlton Cancun, and this will be your room... Hello!

Friday Fashionista :: { The Countdown To Summer }

Hi friends Friday is here yippee! :) What are you guys looking forward to this weekend? It's been a big week, so I am excited about chilling out and spending some quality time with friends. Anyone having a Grand Final BBQ? Who's everyone barracking for? Go Hawks I say!! So today's blog is inspired by this week's crazy weather... beginning with 'warm and sunny' and then losing the plot and turning into winter. Is anyone else like me... dessssssperate for to summer to come?!?! Haha... well I had some good feedback from last week's Bit of Boho, so I thought I would use summer as my muse again. :) And just look at this gorgeous dress above... looks like she's holidaying in Europe somewhere fabulous. Ah, take me there now :) xx

And what a perfect way to end this week's blog... hello fabulous scarf! Love these colours. So what are you up to this weekend? I am heading to the Dandenongs this afternoon with my folks to celebrate and honour My Grandpa (his birthday would have been today :) ) so that will be really beautiful. Then tonight my niece Emily is coming for a sleepover... fun! Then Grand Final Day will be spent hanging with friends. I can just picture it; the girls, no doubt, flicking through magazines and chatting about fashion and food while the boys get right into the game. Ah it's all fun! Anyway, happy Friday and have a beautiful, restful and joyful weekend!

5 Minute Vacation :: Tahiti.

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! How's everyone's week been so far? Well I know for a fact that more than a few people are in the middle of a very busy week, so today we are taking a "5 Minute Vacation" and heading to... Tahiti.

This is where you shall be staying..

Because everyone needs a glass bottomed living room..

You'll head out for some snorkelling..

Check out the underwater magic..

Make a new little friend..

Then head out sailing on the water..

To a private island..

After your adventure you'll come back and relax a while, then freshen up.. 
(check out the bath!)

Before making your way to the restaurant for a beautiful candlelit dinner..

And afterwards you'll stroll along the beach and witness this..

Endless Summer.

For those of us in Australia.. we are well and truly living in an Endless Summer! If you're anything like me and don't want Summer to end, you will be loving the fact that it is going to be hot ALL week. That's right. Bliss.

Yesterday afternoon I was at Brighton Beach in Melbourne, along with many other die-hard Melbourne "I-love-Summer-so-much-I-am-making-the-most-of-every-single-beach-day" fans. So.. here are some tips for you to make the most of this glorrrrious weather! Enjoy!

1. Head to Moonlight Cinemas.. or create your own outdoor movie cinema in someone's backyard, complete with cushions and lanterns of course.

2. Grab some fish and chips and head down to your nearest beach after work one night with some friends (lanterns, candles, rugs and pillows optional.. but so much more fun don't you think?!) 

3. Escape the city for a night this weekend.. Round up a crew and head to a beachside camp site, set up some simple tents, BYO chairs and you are set! 

So let me encourage you there is more to come! Think outside the box this week and do something fun and impromptu! Let me know what you do and the most fabulous "Endless Summer activity" will score a mention in one of next week's blog posts! :)
