Just trust.

Trust is an interesting thing. It's a noun and also a verb. The former means: 'the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something'. The verb (a doing word -- which means we have to do it) means 'to actually believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something'.
So pretty much, if we require this kind of trust.. it must mean we are likely to face situations in life that are beyond our understanding.
Are you facing an impossible situation? Perhaps you're finding it difficult, despite your best efforts, to really trust. Well good news.. as my very good German friend once said, "the impossible is God's playground".
So we have a decision to make. Either we allow our fearful thoughts and anxious worries to overtake us.. OR we stir our faith and just take the leap. Let me encourage you.. you are not alone in this!
"See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey
and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you".
We have nothing to fear. The One who calls you is faithful and He WILL do it. :)

You are loved.

Hi guys, happy Tuesday! Hope your week has been a great so far. This blog is just a little note to inspire your day today, and let you know that you are loved!
When we know we are loved, we are not afraid. Think about when little kids are crying on their first day of school, as soon as they know their mummy or daddy is there, protecting them and cheering them on, their fear goes. The same goes with us. When we know we have Someone protecting us and cheering us on.. we can do ANYTHING.
The reason I started today's blog by telling you that you are loved, was so you would have the courage to step out, to take a risk and to fly. Whatever is in your heart to do, there's nothing to fear, because...

So go for it today. Try something new. There is nothing to fear and nothing to lose! Cos guess what...?

Have a lovely day. :)

Friday Fashionista :: Sparkles.

Happy Friday m'lovelies! How has your week been? Mine's been pretty good! Well yesterday was 'Creative Thursday' for me.. and I had a super productive day. I wrote some of the Spain chapter of my book, then I did something random. I got my keyboard out and decided to attempt playing the sheet music of Alicia Keys' "That's How Strong My Love Is". The only problem is, I don't actually know how to read sheet music. :-/ But something came over me and I was determined to figure out the intro! (Google it, it's sooooo beautiful). Anyway, I found a tutorial on the web and there I sat on my living room floor having a little lesson on how to read music! How hilarious is that! Anyway.... moving right along! For today's Friday Fashionista we are going to look at some fun sparkly things.
Perfect match with pearls and the jacket.
And these pants are dedicated to my very sparkly friend - who believes we should never save our sparkles for night time!
Gorgeous against the denim and white. And love that watch. It looks kinda like mine. :)
Stunning jacket!

Sparkles with a pop of blue nail polish.
Want this jacket. Seriously. :)

Fuschia + turquoise + gold. Yes.
Look at this little one.. sparkling and shining away.
Let us shine light and hope and joy wherever we go today.

You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world.
God is not a secret to be kept... I’m putting you on a light stand.
Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!
Happy Friday friends!

Hope advancing.

I actually had another blog post uploaded for today. I was so organised and planned and had it written and posted by 11:00pm last night. But then as I was getting ready for bed a scripture popped into my head.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Deferred = to put off (an action or event) to a later time; postpone. Then I looked up the opposite of defer. It's to Advance = to move forward in a typically forceful way. It's to expedite, to forge, to hasten, to hurry. So this is for us today. Remember back to when you finished high school, some people had decided to defer uni and go travelling, or work, but others were getting straight into it, no waiting. This can be applied to our dreams. We have not deferred; we are stepping in and advancing today. We're moving forward and we're taking ground.
So how is your hope today? Good? Or does it feel like it's been postponed for another time?
Well good news, there is FRESH hope for you today.
So drink today and be filled. Be refreshed and let your hope be renewed.
Because guess what, whatever it is you need hope for..
The promise is already yes and Amen.
Happy Monday guys :)

Friday Fashionista :: Spots and Dots

Hi friends, happy happy Friday woo hoo! Well today's theme is a special request.. so here we go with some fabulous ideas for all things spotty. Beginning with with this gorgeous black spotty jumper above, I love it with the belt, gold bracelet and of course that handbag.

A few little cheeky spots on denim poking out from under the red. And those leopard heels. Winner!

One for the boys.. love this. No need for a tie or button up.. the jacket says it all.

Navy and white spotty dress + red clutch + nude heels. Very chic.

How fun are these pants?!

Sparkly and shiny..

Who would dare?

You can never have too many spots.
Plaid coat + puffa vest + checked shirt + spotty scarf. Love it!

And can I finish by saying how much fun is this picture?! Just what we all need for a Friday..  oversized sunnies, massive scarves tied around our heads, and then galavanting off somewhere totally fabulous! Happy weekend -- I hope you have a great one!

PS: I was at an inspiring (and free!) health lecture last night at Melbourne Uni Hawthorn, put on by the Natural Institute of Integrated Medicine. Such phenomenal insights into our health and how our incredible bodies are! One of the things they spoke about was getting rid of distractions and allowing our bodies to REST. So, my challenge to you this weekend is to:

** Have at least a few hours without ANY technology.
(That's no phone, no iPad, no laptop, no emails, no Instagram, no Facebook, no Twitter)
So turn them all off for 3 or 4 hours and let me know how refreshed you feel!

Up and away.

What is it about hot air balloons that are so magical? Whenever I see them in the sky (the prerequisite of course being that you have to actually be up that early in the morning!) I always have the same childlike reaction.
It doesn't matter how many times I have seen them soaring through the crisp morning air,
they never cease to create such a sense of awe and delight.
Floating majestically through the air, a wonderful sense of  hope and expectation
arises as the sun appears, declaring the miracle of a new day.
It's funny, I always thought hot air balloons went up before dawn for the sole purpose of seeing the sunrise. This is true, however there is another reason. They need cool, stable winds to fly, and directly after sunrise is the best time for this.
Another amazing thing is that hot air balloon pilots are not permitted to directly steer the balloon. The only thing they can determine is the height at which the balloon flies, and then.. they must let the wind do all the work.
What a beautiful analogy this is. Sometimes our circumstances might not look right, the mountains may appear huge, everything around us might be dark and cold, and at times it may look like we can't even get off the ground; but just as hot air balloon pilots follow the guidance of the wind, things can tend to be a lot easier for us if we simply take a step back and...

Have the best day today knowing that you are amazing. And that you are equipped for every good work.
So be encouraged... this is your season of soaring!
