Transition :: Just Keep Going.

Transition is a funny thing isn't it. When you're in transition, you never feel like you are. I mean, you never think, "Well, I'd better make the most of this uncomfortable season, because it will be over soon!" No, usually, when you're in the middle of a season, you feel stuck, because you can't imagine it actually will ever end. The definition of transition is = the process or period of changing from one state or condition to another. So what does that mean for you? Are you in a period of transition at the moment? Are you're waiting for something?
When we're IN transition, we can often feel frustrated and discouraged. Especially in the final moments before we move into that new thing. However, let me encourage you. This is a what a butterfly looks like, flitting around in all it's beauty... Stunning hey.
But now look at the "not so glamorous" transition it had to go through to get into this world... Ouch.
Transition is rarely smooth sailing and glamorous. But the moment we come through it and move into the new season, it always, always makes sense. When you're in it however, it can be so hard to see. And this, my friends, is where the leap of faith steps in.
Many times all we can do is trust. We just have to believe that what we are doing IS leading us somewhere, and there IS great purpose in it all, even though most of the time it actually doesn't even make sense. But... let me encourage us all today... :)
Your harvest is certain. The reward is already part of your future. I am standing with you in this race and cheering you on. Whatever season you are in, just remember, that's exactly what it is -- a "season".  And if we think about our four seasons, sometimes they feel like they go on forever (hello... winter!?) but the thing that gives us hope is that we know they each have an end date. The season is not going to last forever. And so it is with us. Just when things seem like they're never going to change, they always do. So, in the words of our wonderful friend Dory, whatever season you are in my friends.............
Because, guess what...........
And you know what else?
That's right. ANYthing. Are you ready for that? Have you pictured it in your mind? Have your written it out and stuck it on your mirror as a reminder? Because, as we declare and expect things to happen and change, they will.

Have the best day!

Excuse me? Did you know you're amazing?

Every January, I like to spend a few days hanging out with God and just chatting to him about the year ahead. Depending on the season of my life, a particular scripture will stand out to me, and kind of be the foundation for my year. Last year the theme was "surprises and adventure", based around Ephesians 3:20 ~ and I think I can safely say that came to pass! :) This year I am continuing to declare crazy surprises over my life, but I also strongly felt Romans 12:2 was to be very significant for me this year.
Many of us know this bible verse well, including me... however I believe now, more than ever before, I need to truly get this revelation and live it. I love the Message translation - "Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it." HOW good is that? So what does it mean for you and me? Simple.
And....
I saw this last year on instagram and I immediately loved it. How TRUE is it?! We don't mean it, but we get so caught up in what other people are doing, who's doing what, how amazing they are, this person's doing that, oh my goodness look at them... and we miss just how INCREDIBLE we are! Even when it comes to stages in life, we are all running our own race; different seasons, different phases, different pages of totally different stories... and yet we still find ourselves looking at each other and comparing two completely different lives! It sounds ridiculous when I actually say it, but it's true. And it steals our joy.
Do you know what I do?
No way. How boring!
It's time to step out guys. Courage and boldness are available for us to access... all we have to do is DREAM BIG and just do what's in our heart! It's easy! And I am here cheering you all on, and you're all here cheering each other on, so guess what, we're actually going to do it! So let me challenge you.... :)
So dream my friends, because literally, ANYTHING can happen. When you dream, you imagine. When you imagine, it becomes real in your mind. When it becomes real in your mind, you see it. And when you see it, it happens.

Your task for today is to set aside fifteen minutes to just DREAM... :)

I'll be praying for you!

Non-negotiable Expectation.

Hi peeps welcome to Monday! Okay I have to ask... has the Christmas season begun for you yet? Have you started decorating?! Well, I put up my tree with my niece on Saturday night... and I was totally in my element. Watching one of the quintessential Christmas movies, Home Alone II, we sat there drinking our tea (Royal Albert Christmas mugs of course) and decorated my tree. This is what she looks like this year!
Ah, there is nothing better than coming home late at night with those twinkling lights flickering away. So pretty! :) So... I was driving the other day and I saw a sign that said "EXPECT DELAYS". Immediately my mind thought, hello? Um, sorry, but I'm not expecting any delays! Then I realised the reason I was sooo offended (by a road sign ha ha) was because of the way I actually read those two words. I read them as an 'order'. It was as if I had 'no choice' in the matter; and that I had to "expect delays because they were definitely going to happen". Basically, I took it as a 'non-negotiable', rather than a just a suggestion.
So I began thinking about this in relation to us, and how we think. Then I started thinking about how I think. For example, is my expectation for the miraculous simply a suggestion to myself? Or is it a non-negotiable?
What are you hoping for at the moment? What are you expecting? Is your expectation a non-negotiable, believing things are "actually going to happen'? I want my faith to be a strong and unwavering as a simple road sign. But this only happens as we constantly listen for God's still, small voice...
...and wait expectantly like little kids for His surprises.
And guess what... He has some amaaaaazing ones for you today!
That's right, something amazing is going to happen to you today!
God is waiting to surprise you. :)

~ Happy Monday ~
