Friday Fashionista :: { I Spy Stripes }

Hello and Happy Freitag glücklich Freitag meine Freunde! And for those non-Deutsch speaking peeps... Happy Friday my friends :) Yesterday I did a little poll to see whether I should do "Stripes" or "White and Gold"... It was very close, with almost half and half, so I have decided today we shall have some stripe fun and then next Friday (which is almost my birthday he he) we'll dress up a bit with classy white and gold. How does that sound? Anyway, here we go for this week guys... some new and fun ways to dress up your stripes. :) I love the look above don't you...? xx

Or how about with a fab floral vest...

Or boys, with a slick grey jacket and white jeans...

Very fun... leopard print, mustard and maroon... Hello.

Thick stripes with red and sparkles...

Fancy twirling in this skirt and bowler bag...? Me please!

Hello Mr Dean...

Mean green + tan...

Fun fun with spots and stripes...

Double thick stripes + spots + red... Love this bag by the way.

Pointies + red bag + ripped jeans + red stripes = winning combo.

Shorts and a panama hat... Hello travelling outfit!

Boys, try your stripes with braces, jeans and bowler hat...

Classy stripes...

Cable knit with blue shorts... off on the yacht we go.

Ms Chung in fabulous stripes and leopard.

Socks for him...

Wider stripes and puffa vest...

Apricot and gold...

Pretty pastels...

Fun florals + gold, tan, turquoise and stripes...

Hot pink and bright green = amazing!
With tan boots, scarf + an oversised bag. Excellent.
And lastly... a bit of a navy stripe with mustard and turquoise. Love it! Well that's it from me for Friday Fashionista! Was fun wasn't it? Have a beautiful weekend and make sure you spend some time with great friends!

Make every moment count.

I've just been thinking about life and how precious it is. It's a gift. Throughout our day to day activities, most of us rarely think stop and think about how amazing life is, or dream about eternity, or wonder how much longer we have on this earth.
It can be so easy to get caught up with the little worries and things of everyday life. I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like I have goggles on, or I'm looking through a magnifying glass, at my own situation... and then suddenly I'm thinking, "Well how is that going to happen..? How is that going to work out..?" But as soon as I zoom out, and think of eternity, I get a new perspective and everything changes.
As much as we don't want to think about it (and I'm not trying to be morbid here), but the truth is, our days are numbered. One day, we will actually step into eternity.
"LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away
An entire lifetime is just a moment to you!
Human existence is but a breath ...
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?
My only hope is in you ...
For I am your guest -- a traveler passing through".
Think about when you were little. Did you ever receive a bike as a gift? If you'd did, what was your response upon receiving it? Surely you wouldn't have left it in the garage, thinking, "Wow, one day I'll ride this and go on an adventure! I've got plenty of time though, so I won't ride it right away". As IF! No way. I'm sure you were excited and thankful, and busting to use it straight away!
This is what we need to do. Today. This week. This year, let us be conscious of this gift we have been given. Life. It's a vapour. In just one moment, years fly by. Christmas was one whole month ago. Can you believe that?
Anyway... I'm talking to myself here too. I don't want to just go about my day as normal today, or any day. So let's look for moments, and stop. And not just one moment. Lots of moments. Set alarms in your phone if you have to. Put sticky notes on your computer, or your mirror, telling yourself that...
Because it really IS. And when we keep our eyes up, fixed and focused on the prize, we begin to see things we've never seen before. Make every moment count. :)
Happy Tuesday my friends!

Something wonderful is about to happen :)

Hooray :):) It's Friday friends! How has your weekend been?
I am actually pretty exhausted from all the socialising I have been doing... how hilarious!
There's just so much to do! From watching the tennis at Fed Square, to the Moonlight Cinema... coffees on Lygon Street to fish 'n' chips and late night beach fun, to walking around 'the tan' and meandering through streets... it's been so fun, but at the same time I kinda think I may need to rest ha!! The weekend is almost here, and I would love to encourage you to do something today. You may in fact do this already, or you may do it later in the day - but these are the words  I am putting in front of myself today... care to join me?
Anything can happen. AS in... ANY-THING.
And all it takes is a moment. In one moment, something can happen.
In one moment, everything can change.
So be ready for it, expect it... and thank God for it.
