Abundance brings great joy. Whether it’s sitting down to a table overflowing with afternoon tea goodness.. or receiving an incredibly extravagant and timely pay rise.. it may be you're given something you have been secretly praying for, or you walk into a hotel restroom to find a plethora of delicious skin care and beauty products for you to try (and don't we all love splurging on that ladies!).. whatever it is, that feeling of abundance is special.
Let's take a look at nature. Have you ever been into a florist overflowing with arrangements
so stunning you can hardly believe it? Or witnessed a sunset that simply takes
your breath away? Or gazed up at a sky so filled with stars you can hardly see the black sky? Or seen animals so brightly coloured so they make you smile like a kid again?
Whatever it is for you, when you find yourself in a situation where you have more than enough, deep gratitude abounds, along with a feeling on the inside: I like this. This is right.
This how it’s meant to be.
I have a huge Magnolia tree near my house. I remember driving past it last year when it was in full bloom and thinking, “how many flowers does that tree need?!” There were literally sooo many pink flowers it was almost ridiculous! Wasteful even? Then I thought, but why is it a waste? Yes it’s extravagant, but that’s what makes it so beautiful.
It could be walking into a gorgeous five star hotel buffet breakfast with so much food you don’t know what to do with yourself, or being reunited with family again after a long absence, or being given an extravagantly generous gift (as I was this week = so blessed), or even something as simple as realising you actually have way more food in your cupboard than you thought you had!
And on top of all these great things, we also have a greater abundance available to us. Abundant peace, joy, love and hope. We never have to live in fear. :) God can do anything you know. Far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams.
I believe as we crank up the thankfulness, keep sowing
generous seed and continue to be faithful with the small things.. we will surely reap an abundant harvest!
Happy Wednesday
friends!
